Dave Sevigny is a proven small business leader with a passion for serving his community.
Dave and his wife Paula have lived in neighborhoods within District 10 for over 35 years. They raised their now adult children in these neighborhoods and have a profound love for this city and this part of Lexington.
Dave's life in Lexington started in 1985 when he joined IBM right out of college with a degree in mechanical engineering. Since then, he's founded and built an award-winning (Commerce Lexington Small Business of the Year) independent IT company and was named the SBA Small Businessperson of the Year for KY. Dave is a graduate of Leadership Lexington and continues to be greatly involved in a myriad of business, non-profit, neighborhood and faith groups in Lexington.
Besides the needs of District 10, Dave looks forward to energizing the following initiatives to benefit the LFUCG community at large:
Attract Talent: Discover creative ways to retain vibrant people and businesses.
Promote Placemaking: Support the creation of safe spaces for walking, biking, recreation and the arts in our community.
Diversify Housing: Advocate for mixed-income housing opportunities so that all people can enjoy life in this city.
Stewardship and community mean everything to Dave, and he’s ready to serve.
